I saw the pain in her face and felt there was nothing I could do as she slowly was being invaded by cancer. My best friend was there by her side the whole time. We both felt so helpless. I didn't walk as closely with her to her death than what her husband and Mother did.It was so sad to see such a young beautiful bride of 7 years go down hill so quickly. The day came where her Doctors said we have done all we can do, so hospice was called in and we prayed for the lord to come and take her and relieve her from pain & suffering. At age 31 she was gone due to cancer.
At her memorial service a song was played that was very moving, "To Where You Are".
Suddenly a vision came to me that it would be so comforting if my best friend or her Mother could of gotten that last letter.
OK SM if we are going to be buddies you can't make me cry! :)
ReplyDeleteI"ve walked that walk most of my life... Thank you for what you are doing ~ hope you are a regular at my blog (hate that word) thoughts daily there. Be well and I am sure you feel honored to have been able to "be with her" and those who love her
